Fashion retail giant Country Road opened a new flagship store in Auckland and asked Freestyle Event Photography to photograph the store interiors and media launch. Our photographers worked carefully with the PR team to ensure key shots were obtained of both the store display, staff and visiting ‘influencers’ and media dignitaries.

Photographing a corporate networking event takes a particular set of skills as it involves capturing photos of people looking good, in action, and without getting in anybody’s way during the event. We have honed these skills over the past few years to become leaders in the game of event photography.

Freestyle Event Photographers Tag and Rouan had a great time at the Rydges Hotel New Year’s eve party in Auckland this year. For three years running, Freestyle Event Photography have photographed this event, and as always, it was a great party!
In October this year, cosmetics company Lush held an exclusive media launch event for journalists and influencers at Quay Project Space in Auckland, showcasing the brand’s new product range out in time for Christmas. Freestyle Event Photography were chosen as the photographers to cover this event.
We were engaged to photograph the dinner that was held as part of this conference for project managers. PMI is an international organisation and the New Zealand chapter is one of more than 300 worldwide, with over 500,000 members.
Geneva Healthcare provide support services to people with disabilities. This event, which Freestyle Event Photography was hired to document, was an annual ball for their clients, held at Eden Park, a venue where we have shot before. Special guests included: Suzy Cato, Peter Williams, and Michelle Isemonger.
Birthday boy DJ Cruz had chosen for his birthday venue The Red Room, a private function room at Sky City, and chosen Freestyle Event Photography as his photographers. There seemed to be a bit of a red theme going on …
We photographed the speeches, with DJ countering with a wide smile any attempts at embarrassing him with stories from his past.
With finger food, an open bar and music for entertainment (though not much dancing), the atmosphere amongst the guests was relaxed, and the birthday scenes we photographed included many of people sitting and chatting or posing for the camera in tight-knit groups of friends.
The Volvo Ocean Race yachts were in Auckland for two days, and Freestyle Event Photography was asked to provide photos for HCL, responsible for the telecommunications technology for the race. On day one, we took photos of HCL staff with the race trophy during a tour of the HCL facilities at base, including a chance to look inside of two of the boats. This March, Transdev hosted its third annual Family Fun Day at the Auckland Zoo – An action-packed day of entertainment for staff and their families. Freestyle Event Photography was hired by Coco’s Carnival Children’s Entertainment to cover the event.
