It’s always a special time for our photographers to attend graduations. They are times of celebration and joie de vivre and we enjoy seeing the thrill of students as they come up on stage, are capped, and pose for photos.
AIC Otago Polytechnic held their graduation ceremony at the Maritime Room in Auckland, the first time they had been able to get together in over two years.
The event commenced with a procession beginning at the Wynyard Quarter. Two Freestyle photographers followed along with the students, taking photos, as they made their way to the Maritime Room. Along the way, students and staff posed for group photos.
Inside the Maritime Room, Freestyle had a grey backdrop set up, which the graduating students could pose in front of for formal photos.
In addition to the graduation ceremony, there was also a staff function to celebrate ten years in business since the beginning of AIC. A presentation was given tracking the highs and lows of the education business and the particular challenges that education had faced during the pandemic. The future is looking very positive. Freestyle congratulates all graduating students and looks forward to being the photographers at the next graduation ceremony.
